DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Orange edition of the Leatt Moto 5.5 UltraWeld Jersey wraps Leatt's ultra-light race construction in a warm sunset gradient. Built for racers who want maximum mobility and ventilation, it pairs a tight athletic fit with laser-cut perforations, Brush Guard elbows and welded cuffs.
It is part of the carry-over range for 2026–2027.
Key Features
- Second-skin fit for high-speed riding
- Breathable mesh zones plus laser-cut perforations
- Abrasion-resistant Brush Guard at the elbows
- Smooth welded seams at cuffs and hem
- Silicone rear hem grip
- Can be worn with or without body armour
Airflow
Airflow comes from two sources: breathable mesh zones made of nylon and laser-cut perforations in the main fabric. Together they let heat escape continuously, which is what a race jersey needs when the effort is high and the laps are long.
Collar, Cuffs & Hem
Leatt welds the cuff and hem seams so they lie smooth against the skin. Around the neck, the collar is shaped to work with or without one of Leatt's neck braces, and a silicone grip along the rear hem holds the jersey down in the pants when you move around on the bike.
Material
The main fabric is a premium 4-way stretch polyester that wicks moisture, accounting for 85% of the jersey. Nylon mesh makes up 10% and sits in the ventilation zones, while 5% elastane provides flexibility. That mix keeps the weight low, at approximately 260 g according to Leatt, without limiting mobility.
Fit & Sizing
Expect a close, race-ready fit. Leatt shapes the UltraWeld as a streamlined second skin, so there is little loose fabric to flap at speed. Body armour fits underneath if you prefer to ride with it. Sizes for this version run S to XXL, with Leatt's US and EU equivalents in the size guide.
Brush Guard Elbows
Brush Guard is Leatt's protective film for the elbows. It stays flexible, so it does not restrict arm movement, but it is designed to withstand roost and branch strikes and to resist snags, tears and abrasion. On a jersey this light, that reinforcement is a welcome addition.
What you should know
Keep in mind that this jersey offers abrasion resistance at the elbows but no protectors and no certification class. It is built for airflow, not for rain. The second-skin cut feels very different from a classic jersey, and the Brush Guard film adds reinforcement only at the elbows, not across the whole sleeve.
Colour
From the front, the jersey starts with a white yoke and an orange Leatt logo, then runs through a yellow-to-orange gradient towards the hem. Orange sleeves and an orange back complete the look, and small arrow graphics sit below the logo. The colours are bright and easy to see, and they pair naturally with orange or white pants. The white upper chest will show dirt first.
