The Leatt Moto 4.5 Enduro Jacket is a race-focused enduro shell cut short at the front, so it stays out of the way when you are crouched over the bars or moving around on the pegs. Leatt built it from a wind-blocking ripstop with 4-way stretch panels and gave it zip-off sleeves, which means one jacket can cover a cold start at dawn and a hot special test in the afternoon.
Hatchet Black is the understated version of the model: a black shell with a dark grey diagonal-stripe print across the chest and lower back. It suits riders who want a technical jacket that matches almost any pant and jersey without drawing attention.

Shell and Construction
The main fabric is a ripstop weave that blocks wind, combined with stretch panels that move in four directions. The composition is 93% polyester and 7% elastane. Leatt deliberately reduced unnecessary plastics and films on this jacket and states that this improves durability and resilience in the washing machine. Hypalon trims sit at the points that take the most handling, and the jacket ships in plastic-free packaging.
Airbag and Neck Brace Compatibility
Leatt designed the 4.5 Enduro to work over an airbag system in your normal size. Dedicated expansion zones, side adjusters and a floating internal liner give the airbag space to deploy. The jacket is also compatible with a Leatt Neck Brace, so it slots into a full Leatt protection setup.
Ventilation for Hard Efforts
Instead of large zip vents, the jacket uses laser-cut perforations hidden beneath storm flaps, plus a large yoke vent across the upper back. According to Leatt the rear vent keeps working while you wear a backpack. For the hottest days the sleeves come off entirely.
Mission Pack Storage
The Mission Pack system splits the rear storage: an upper section takes a horizontal hydration bladder, and a lower pocket gives quick access to small items. An internal suspender harness holds the bladder weight around your waist. In total there are three outer pockets, one of them waterproof, and four pockets on the inside, several of them on the floating liner.
What you should know
This is a water-resistant jacket, not a waterproof one: there is no membrane, so the DWR finish and taped seams handle showers and spray but not hours of steady rain. It also has no built-in armour and Leatt does not list an EN 17092 class, so wear it over a body protector or an airbag. The bladder itself is not mentioned as included, so plan to use your own. Sizes on this colour run from S to 4XL.
Colour
Hatchet Black is almost entirely black, with a subtle dark grey striped band on the chest and the lower back and a small Leatt logo on the chest pocket and between the shoulders. Black hides mud and wear well, but in strong sun a dark shell absorbs more heat, which is where the perforations and removable sleeves help.
