A first race kit should be comfortable enough that a child forgets about it. That is the brief of the Leatt Moto 3.5 Mini Ride Kit, here in Stripes Orange: a matched jersey and pant set on a dedicated Mini/Junior cut for sizes XXS and XS.
Mesh with air channels keeps the top cool, and the pants bring the same knee reinforcement and silicone waist grip Leatt uses on its larger kits.

Jersey: airflow and comfort
Air channels woven into the 3D stretch mesh of this jersey let heat escape on long motos instead of building up under the fabric. Leatt keeps the collar low and flat, so it works under a neck brace as well as on its own.
Waistband and cut
Cut in a Mini/Junior riding fit, the top leaves enough room for a body protector but does not flap when worn without one. A micro-adjust system at the waist lets young riders set the fit in small steps, and silicone grip all the way round holds the pants in place.
What the kit is made of
By composition, the kit is 95% polyester, 4% elastane and 1% genuine leather, with the jersey itself in 100% polyester. Leatt treats the material with DWR C0 to shed mud and spray without PFAS (PFC), and the kit is OekoTex and REACH tested, shipped without plastic packaging.
The pants
Pre-shaped legs mirror the riding stance, and knitted stretch inserts add give where the body bends and let some air through. According to Leatt, the pants offer roughly 30% 2-way stretch, giving extra freedom on the bike.
Reinforcement and durability
Leatt builds a multi-layer inner knee and adds heat-resistant leather on the right, the side that meets the hot exhaust, plus knee padding. Leatt reinforces the high-wear zones and uses multi-row reinforced stitching on the material panels for a longer service life.
What you should know
No protectors come with this kit and Leatt lists no CE rating for it, so impact protection for knees, chest and neck is a separate purchase. Water-repellent is not waterproof: without a membrane, prolonged rain will soak through despite the DWR C0 treatment. The kit is offered in XXS and XS, with jersey and pants supplied together in one size, which is worth keeping in mind when one half fits differently.
Colour
Stripes Orange pairs a navy jersey with a bright orange chest band crossed by thin green and orange lines that run right through the Leatt lettering. Teal logos sit on the sleeves, and orange stripes return on the cuffs. The pants are a deep violet blue with orange stripes low on the leg and a black knee panel. The dark blue base handles mud well.
