DescriptionThe whole story▼
The White Leatt Moto 1.5 GripR Junior Glove is the light-coloured option for hot days, with the same seamless MicronGrip palm as the rest of the line. It is a stripped-back off-road glove for young riders who ride in the heat and want the bars to feel close, not cushioned. It shares the adult glove's feature set, sized for young riders.
Key Features
- MicronGrip palm material that holds on whether the grips are dry or wet
- Lightweight mesh upper that lets heat escape
- Snug 3D Concave Palm cut that reduces bulk
- FormFit fingers: natural shape, better feel
- Hook-and-loop Hypalon fastening at a low-profile cuff
- Works on compatible touchscreens without taking it off
- Multi-row Coats® stretch-thread stitching for durability
Staying cool
Leatt chose a mesh upper for this model to keep airflow high when temperatures climb. Additional venting comes from stretch Lycra on the sides of the fingers.
How it is made
Coats® stretch-thread seams, sewn multi-row, add durability to the light build. Leatt lists the material mix as roughly three quarters polyester, plus nylon and polyurethane.
Cuff design
Leatt keeps the cuff low-profile and stretchy, with Hypalon hook-and-loop adjustment. It keeps the fit secure while the cuff itself stays minimal.
MicronGrip palm
A super-slim MicronGrip palm sits under the fingers and keeps bar contact close. According to Leatt, MicronGrip keeps its traction on dry grips as well as wet ones.
Finger construction
The 3D Concave Palm cut gives a snug shape, and the seamless palm cuts bulk. Leatt's FormFit finger construction wraps each finger closely for better grip and feel.
What you should know
Protection is not its job: there is no hard knuckle guard or padding, and Leatt states no EN 13594 rating for this model. There is no waterproof membrane, and the open mesh is meant for heat, not for cold or rain. You can choose from sizes S to L; the cut is meant to sit close on the hand.
Colour
White covers the upper hand, contrasted by black fingertips, black finger sides and a black hook-and-loop tab; the Leatt Moto logo is dark grey. The palm is grey. White looks sharp with almost any kit and stays a little cooler in the sun than a dark glove, but it shows dirt and roost quickly, so regular washing is part of the deal.
