DescriptionThe whole story▼
In Orange, the Leatt Moto 1.5 GripR Glove adds a strong splash of colour to a glove that is otherwise all about stripping things back. Think of it as the lightest layer between your hands and the grips: a mesh back, a thin palm and nothing extra. Summer motocross and off-road days are what it was built for.
Key Features
- Leatt MicronGrip palm with wet-and-dry traction
- Stretch Lycra finger sides for flex and extra ventilation
- Concave 3D palm cut, close-fitting and seamless
- FormFit finger stitching for grip and feel
- Hypalon hook-and-loop adjustment on a slim stretch cuff
- Works on compatible touchscreens without taking it off
- Coats® stretch thread, stitched in multiple rows
Closure
Hook-and-loop Hypalon adjustment finishes the slim stretch cuff. It keeps the glove in position without unnecessary bulk.
Construction
Seams are sewn in multiple rows with Coats® stretch thread to help the glove last. Leatt lists the material mix as roughly three quarters polyester, plus nylon and polyurethane. Phone in the pits? The touchscreen-compatible tips let you use it gloved.
Built for hot days
Ventilation starts with the mesh upper, which lets heat escape on summer tracks. Stretch Lycra on the finger sides keeps things flexible and ventilated. That airflow is what keeps long sessions in the heat comfortable.
The palm
MicronGrip, Leatt's ultra-thin palm material, keeps the connection to the handlebar direct instead of padded. According to Leatt, MicronGrip keeps its traction on dry grips as well as wet ones.
Fit and dexterity
Leatt cuts the palm in a 3D concave form without seams, which keeps it close-fitting. With FormFit fingers and stretch Lycra along the sides, the glove moves with the hand instead of fighting it. The overall cut is close, which suits riders who want to feel the levers and grips precisely.
What you should know
Expect no knuckle armour and no padding; an EN 13594 level is not specified either. It is not waterproof and offers little warmth, which is the trade-off for the airflow. In this colour the range covers S to XXL, with a deliberately snug fit.
Colour
The upper hand is a deep, burnt orange, with black fingertips, black finger gussets and a black hook-and-loop tab; the logo is light grey. The palm is grey. Orange is highly visible against dirt and works well with orange bikes or team kit. Light dust is less obvious on orange than on white, but heavy mud from a wet track will show.
