DescriptionThe whole story▼
All black with a few bronze touches, the Stealth Black/Grey DriTour 5.5 is the understated way into Leatt's laminated touring range. It is aimed at riders who cover big distances in every season and want the waterproofing built into the shell instead of a liner that has to be zipped in when the sky turns grey.
With the size run reaching 5XL in this colour, the stealth version also covers riders who often struggle to find a well-equipped adventure jacket that fits.
Key Features
- Shell laminated with HydraDri EVO, 20,000 mm / 20,000 g/m² waterproof and breathable
- Complete garment certified Class AA to EN 17092-3:2020
- Level 2 3DF armour: back to EN 1621-2, shoulders and elbows to EN 1621-1
- Ready for an optional Level 2 chest protector to EN 1621-3
- Thermal casual inner jacket that zips out and can be worn on its own
- Ventilation zips on arms, chest and back
- Sizes S to 5XL with US and EU equivalents
Protection
Leatt certifies the entire DriTour 5.5 as one garment to Class AA, the middle tier of the EN 17092 scale. Inside, Level 2 3DF pads guard the back, shoulders and elbows, and a pocket waits for a chest protector if you want to add one. Deflexion reinforcements cover the high-impact zones of the RipStop 600D outer.
Climate Control
When the temperature climbs, open the zips on the upper arms, chest and back to move air through the jacket. The chest openings also serve as pockets, so they earn their place on cold days too. In wet weather the laminated outer and fully taped seams keep water out while the HydraDri EVO layer releases vapour, and the PFC-free DWR C0 finish lets droplets roll off.
Layering
The insulated inner jacket zips in at the body and sleeves. At camp or in a guesthouse it becomes a separate warm jacket with two hand-warmer pockets and a zipped mesh pocket. Leatt describes this as a three-way setup: shell alone, shell with liner, or liner by itself. Leatt adds a 5-year warranty and ships the jacket in plastic-free packaging.
Details for Long Days
A soft neoprene edge on the collar, stretch cuffs and a sturdy Leatt pull on the front zip make the jacket easy to live with. Pockets include fleece-lined hand-warmers, waterproof flapped drop-ins, a mesh pocket behind the front zip and a big rear pocket protected by a waterproof flap. A long connection zipper links it to matching Leatt pants, and the jacket is neck brace ready, with an external hanger loop for drying overnight.
Pairing
For a complete outfit, the long connection zip joins this jacket to Leatt's laminated DriTour 5.5 pant, which is also available in Stealth Black/Grey.
What you should know
There is no zip-out rain liner here because the shell is the waterproof layer, so on hot dry days you cannot strip the jacket down to a lighter mesh layer. The chest protector is an extra purchase. At about 2,150 g with all pads fitted, it is a jacket for proper touring rather than for short trail loops. A black shell absorbs more heat under direct sun than lighter colours, which makes the vents worth using in summer.
Colour
Stealth Black/Grey is almost entirely black, with a bronze stripe and bronze Leatt logos on the upper arms and grey-green tabs on the waist adjusters. It is the most discreet option of the DriTour 5.5 and hides dirt well on long trips. In low light the reflective detailing becomes more important, as the black fabric itself offers little contrast against a dark road.
