DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Leatt Boot ADV X-Flow 7.5 Short in Stealth Black/Grey is a summer adventure boot for riders who end up with hot feet in membrane boots. Its ventilated outer shell keeps air moving through the boot, whether you are crawling up a technical climb or covering a long, dusty transfer stage.
This colourway starts at EU 38, so the X-Flow is available for smaller feet too. Leatt lists the boot at 3,150 g.
Key Features
- Ventilated shell built from a Nubuck chassis, perforated foam and breathable fabric
- Exterior DWR finish on the Nubuck leather
- Comfortable last that also accommodates wide feet
- Self-locking SlideLock closure, forged aluminium buckles with over-lock
- Ankle protection with 3DF impact foam and a flex limiter
- Impact-reinforced TPU shin insert and shaped heel support
- ADV tread sole, PU foam midsole, steel shank
- EN 13634:2017 CE certification
Safety in a light package
Certified to EN 13634:2017, the X-Flow meets the European standard for protective motorcycle footwear. Leatt places 3DF impact foam around the ankle, adds a flex limiter to keep the joint's movement in check, reinforces the shin with a TPU insert and supports the heel with a shaped cup.
Sole and shifting
An ADV-pattern outsole of PU and rubber gives grip on the pegs and on loose ground when you walk. A steel shank stiffens the sole, and a PU foam midsole takes the edge off vibration. At the front, a rubber toe patch and a shaped toe box make gear changes precise and protect the spot where the lever rubs.
Staying cool
Ventilation is the point of the X-Flow. Nubuck forms the frame, while mesh and breathable fabric over soft perforated foam let heat escape from inside. The polyester lining completes the setup. On hot days, in stop-and-go traffic or on slow trail sections, this design keeps the climate in the boot more pleasant than a closed membrane construction.
Fit and sizes
The last is cut generously, and Leatt states that it fits wide feet comfortably. Stealth Black/Grey covers EU 38 to EU 48, with US, UK and foot-length equivalents in the size guide below.
Closure
SlideLock, Leatt's auto-locking one-way sliding closure, seals the collar. Forged aluminium buckles with an over-lock system and stainless-steel base hold the instep and shaft firmly in place. Leatt designed the SlideLock to give a good seal at the top of the boot, and the forged buckles with their stainless-steel base are built for durability over many seasons. The boot comes in plastic-free packaging.
What you should know
There is no membrane in the X-Flow, so it is not a waterproof boot. A DWR finish on the Nubuck helps against splashes, yet the open, ventilated sections will let water through in a downpour or a ford. Riders who regularly face rain or cold mornings should look at the HydraDri 7.5 Short instead. Being a short boot, the X-Flow also offers less lower-leg coverage than a tall ADV model.
Colour
Stealth Black/Grey mixes a black base with light grey mesh panels on the side and around the toe, a sand-coloured panel at the collar and a grey sole. The lighter panels give the boot a more technical look and reflect a little more sunlight than solid black, but they also show dust after a dry gravel day. A quick wipe with a damp cloth restores the look.
