DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Leatt Backpack Moto is a motocross and enduro pack that puts drinking water and trail essentials on your back without turning into a sack of loose weight. Both sizes in this black listing come with a 1.5 L (50 fl oz) vertical bladder already inside, so you can fill up and ride the same day.
Pick the 5 L version when you want a compact race-day setup with just enough room for a multitool, a tube and a snack. The 10 L version adds a chest rig and more main volume for longer loops, spare gloves or a light layer.
Two volumes, two layouts
The 5 L pack keeps things tight: a large main opening gives direct access to the storage space, while a quick-stash tool pocket and a quick-stash stretch pocket hold the small items you reach for most often.
On the 10 L pack the main volume carries its own hydration sleeve next to the reflective-lined bladder pocket. A chest rig on the front of the harness gives you extra storage you can reach without taking the pack off, and a harness pocket plus a stretch pocket take care of keys, gel or a phone.
ActiveHold Lite harness
Instead of a rigid back plate, the ActiveHold Lite system uses stretch panels that act like suspension. The pack hangs in these panels and follows the shape of your upper body, which helps it stay where it belongs when you stand on the pegs, jump or brake hard into a rut.
Adjustable straps let you set the fit to your torso and riding gear, and the compression straps pull the load closer to your back. Those compression straps also double as holders for pads, so knee guards or elbow guards can ride along on the outside.
Drinking on the bike
The included 1.5 L vertical bladder sits in a pocket lined with reflective material. A window in the bladder shows how much fluid is left, so you know before the next moto whether a refill is due. The drinking hose is routed to the harness, which keeps the bite valve close to your mouth instead of flapping around behind your shoulder.
Material and packaging
The shell combines 70% polyester and 20% nylon with 10% TPU. Leatt ships the Backpack Moto in plastic-free packaging.
What you should know
- The bladder is 1.5 L in both sizes. The 10 L version gives you more storage, not more water.
- The chest rig and the hydration sleeve belong to the 10 L pack only. The 5 L pack relies on its tool and stretch pockets.
- This is a hydration and storage pack. It contains no back protector, so wear your usual body armour underneath.
- The colour is black throughout, which hides roost and mud well but shows dried dust on the fabric after a dry day.
