The K-Tech DDS Pro is the rear shock absorber of choice for Honda CBR 600 RR riders who demand race-derived precision in everyday use. Continuously refined through campaigns in the British Superbike Championship and the Isle of Man TT, this unit brings genuine professional-level adjustability to the road or the circuit — without compromising the usability and reliability that a street rider expects.
Key Features
- Five-way adjustability gives you complete control over suspension behaviour to suit your riding style and road conditions
- 32-click compression and 32-click rebound damping adjustment allow precise, repeatable tuning without specialist equipment
- 16-click ByPass Valve (BPV) setting enables fine-tuning of low-speed damping, directly improving tyre feedback and everyday traction
- Hydraulic spring preload adjustment — fast, tool-free changes at the trackside or in the garage
- Length adjustment lets you dial in the correct ride height and chassis geometry for your weight and riding conditions
- CNC-machined components throughout deliver the structural rigidity and longevity you would expect from a race-proven unit
- DDS technology includes mounting points for a potentiometer, supporting data-logging setups
- Wide choice of spring rates available to match individual rider weight and application
Race Heritage, Road Practicality
K-Tech developed the DDS Pro platform in direct response to the demands of top-tier competition. The ByPass Valve is the headline innovation: by independently controlling low-shaft-speed damping forces, the BPV allows you to improve small-bump compliance and mid-corner stability without disturbing the high-speed damping settings that govern braking and hard acceleration. The result is a shock that tracks the road surface more faithfully and returns more feedback to the rider — a benefit felt just as clearly on a challenging A-road as on a circuit.
The hydraulic preload adjuster removes one of the most common frustrations of everyday suspension tuning. Switching from solo riding to carrying a pillion, or adjusting for different tyre pressures before a long run, takes seconds rather than minutes. Combined with the length adjustment, this makes the DDS Pro genuinely versatile across a broad range of real-world uses.
Construction & Engineering
Every structural component is CNC-machined for dimensional accuracy and surface quality. The 35 mm body diameter and 12 mm shaft are sized to handle the loads generated by the CBR 600 RR's chassis through sustained hard use. The 55-155 spring series covers a wide range of rider weights and preferences, and all springs are specified to work within the unit's 62 mm stroke. Factory-recommended settings — 12 compression clicks, 12 rebound clicks, 8 BPV clicks and 9 mm preload — provide a well-balanced baseline from which to refine your setup.
Fitment & Compatibility
This shock absorber is a direct fitment for the Honda CBR 600 RR across all model years from 2007 to 2025. Both mounting eyes accept a 10 mm bolt; the upper eye measures 26 mm wide and the lower eye 39 mm wide. RCU adjustment travel is 5 mm. Part number: 255-011-130-010.
Installation requires specialist tools and techniques. K-Tech recommends fitting by an authorised K-Tech Service Centre to ensure correct setup and to maintain safety and warranty.
