DDS Technology and the ByPass Valve

The DDS (Dual Damping System) Pro centres on its unique ByPass Valve circuit. Where conventional shocks blend low- and high-speed damping together, the BPV allows these to be set independently. The practical result is richer tyre feel and superior edge-of-contact-patch traction — the kind of feedback that separates a competent chassis from a genuinely fast one. At 16 clicks of BPV adjustment, the tuning range is broad enough to accommodate everything from fast chicanes to slower, more technical sections.

Build Quality and Construction

Every structural component is CNC-machined rather than cast, keeping tolerances tight and stiffness high under the cyclic loads generated during hard braking and cornering. The 35 mm RCU body houses a 12 mm shaft, and both the upper and lower mounting eyes are precision-bored — upper eye 26 mm wide on a 10 mm bolt, lower eye 39 mm wide on a 10 mm bolt. These are the dimensions Honda specified for the SC77 frame, so fitment is direct and without compromise.

Recommended Settings for the Honda CBR 1000 RR SC77

K-Tech supply baseline setup data with the unit as a starting point for circuit work. Recommended settings from the factory are: compression 8 clicks from full stiff, rebound 10 clicks from full stiff, spring preload 12 mm, and BPV 8 clicks from full stiff. RCU length adjustment range is 5 mm. These figures reflect K-Tech's own development riding on the SC77 and provide a solid, immediately usable base.
