Race-Proven Construction

K-Tech designed the DDS Pro from the ground up for professional competition, and every material and manufacturing decision reflects that brief. The 35 mm RCU body is precision-machined, the 12 mm RCU shaft is hard-chromed for wear resistance, and the eye-type upper and lower mounts are machined to tight tolerances — upper and lower eye widths both measure 23 mm with 10 mm bolt diameters. The result is a unit that is stiffer, lighter in unsprung mass effect, and more consistent lap after lap than any OEM replacement can deliver.

DDS Technology Explained

The Dual Damping System separates low-speed and high-speed compression circuits, allowing the ByPass Valve to govern ride comfort and traction sensitivity under normal cornering loads while the main compression circuit handles the large, abrupt inputs of kerb strikes and hard braking events. This separation means you can run enough high-speed compression to control chassis squat without sacrificing the suppleness needed to keep the rear tyre loaded through slow-speed direction changes — a balance that is particularly valuable on the RS 660's tight, flickable chassis.

K-Tech's recommended baseline settings for the RS 660 (2020–2026) are: compression 12 clicks, rebound 12 clicks, BPV 8 clicks, and spring preload 5 mm. These are a starting point; the 55-155 spring series and the full adjustment range give you the latitude to depart significantly from baseline as you learn the track or dial in for specific road conditions.
