DescriptionThe whole story▼
The K-Tech DDS Lite brings serious suspension performance within everyday reach. Engineered specifically for the Yamaha YZF-R6 RJ11 and RJ15 (2006–2016), it shares the same core architecture as the DDS Pro — giving you four-way adjustability, CNC-machined precision and real DDS technology — at a price that makes sense for riders who demand more from the road without needing full race-specification hardware from day one.
Key Features
- Four-way adjustability covers compression, rebound, manual spring preload and ride-height — all the tools needed to dial in the chassis for your weight and riding style without specialist intervention
- 32 clicks of compression damping adjustment and 32 clicks of rebound adjustment give genuinely fine resolution for both road and track use
- Manual spring preload adjustment allows fast, tool-free setup changes when swapping between solo and pillion, or when moving from road to circuit
- Ride-height adjustment via the 4 mm RCU travel range lets you refine steering geometry and corner entry behaviour
- CNC-machined components throughout ensure consistent tolerances and long service life under sustained use
- DDS technology with integrated potentiometer mounting points means the unit is fully upgradeable to Pro specification at any point — your investment is protected
- Wide choice of spring rates available via the 55-155 series, so the unit can be correctly matched to rider weight from the outset
Built on Pro Foundations
The DDS Lite omits the hydraulic spring preload adjuster and the dedicated bypass valve found on the DDS Pro, but retains every structural and damping element that defines the platform. The result is a shock absorber that performs well above its price point, responds accurately to rider-made adjustments, and can be converted to full Pro specification by a K-Tech Service Centre without replacing the unit. For riders on the Yamaha YZF-R6 who want a meaningful upgrade over the OEM shock but are not yet committed to full race-level specification, the DDS Lite represents the most sensible entry point in the K-Tech range.
On the Road and on Track
The recommended baseline settings — 12 clicks compression, 16 clicks rebound and 11 mm preload — provide a well-balanced starting point for typical road use on the R6. From there, the 32-click range in both damping circuits offers enough span to move convincingly toward track-day or sprint use. The 62 mm stroke and 295 mm overall length (with a manufacturing tolerance of -3/+3 mm) are dimensionally correct for the RJ11 and RJ15 frames, ensuring proper linkage geometry and full suspension travel are preserved after fitment.
