Sold Together, Replaced Together
The switches sit inside the throttle assembly and Ducati offers nothing smaller. That is the practical case for a milled replacement rather than an argument about materials.
A Hundred and Fifty-Three Horsepower
The 955 cc Superquadro retuned for a naked chassis, behind a wide handlebar. It is far easier to live with than the V4 Streetfighter and very nearly as entertaining on a real road.
A Twin With a Top End
The Superquadro's extreme bore-to-stroke ratio gives it revs no conventional V-twin reaches. In the last two thousand it behaves like a small four and then it stops sounding like one.
Nothing Between Hand and Weather
No fairing at all. Rain arrives at the assembly at road speed and remains there for the whole journey, which is a duty cycle a faired bike's controls never face.
A Cut Bore
Machined rather than formed, so the tube stays concentric. On an engine with this much torque at low openings, the precision of the first part of the movement is what the rider is using.
Sealed Inside the Body
The elements are enclosed within the aluminium rather than behind a clipped cover. There is no lid to lose tension and no seam for water to work along.
Anodised Through
Grown into the metal electrochemically. On a naked bike the cockpit is looked at by everyone, not only the rider, and a chipped coating shows immediately.
A Single-Sided Swingarm
The V2 keeps the arm that gives Ducati nakeds much of their identity. With no bodywork to hide behind, that detail does more visual work than it would on a faired motorcycle.
Factory Connector
Pre-wired, nothing cut. The exchange is mechanical and leaves nothing behind in the diagnostics or in the harness.
