A Known Weak Point on the Panigale V2 890
Like other models in the line, the Panigale V2 890's standard throttle housing is a plastic shell that takes the brunt of a crash at the handlebar, often cracking and exposing the switch wiring it contains to further damage.
Solid Ergal Instead of Moulded Plastic
The JP CO DU066 replaces that shell with a housing machined from a single block of Ergal, giving the Panigale V2 890 noticeably more resistance to cracking under impact than the original part ever offered.
No Loss of Switch Function
Since the original handlebar switch is built into this housing, the Panigale V2 890 keeps its lighting and indicator controls fully intact, with no rewiring required at the bar and nothing left disconnected.
The Original Throttle Unit Stays Put
This housing is supplied without an electronic throttle unit, and the Panigale V2 890's existing unit remains in place underneath it. The cover is designed to work with that unit rather than replace it, so response stays unchanged.
Suited to Track-Day Use on the V2 890
