Both Options at Once
JetPrime splits this housing four ways for the K46: with or without racing button order, with or without RR lettering. This is the combination of both. It is the version most often specified for a bike being built deliberately rather than repaired, where every component is being chosen rather than replaced.
The Button Order Again, Briefly
Red, grey, black, blue from the top, against the standard red, blue, grey, black. The blue control sits at the bottom of the column. Riders who have used the racing arrangement on another machine order it without hesitation; riders who have not are generally better off with the standard order they already know.
Where This Ends Up
Almost always on a K46 that has been converted for the circuit: race bodywork, rearsets, a full exhaust and often an aftermarket dashboard. The throttle housing is not the headline component of that build, but it is the one the rider's hand is on for the entire session.
Machined Lettering on a Race Part
The RR is cut into the aluminium during machining. That matters more here than on a road bike, because a track machine is cleaned aggressively and often while still hot, and anything applied to the surface of a cockpit component does not survive many rounds of that.
Four Finishes Available
Black, red, blue and titanium. The prevailing choice on race-prepared motorcycles is black, on the reasoning that nothing in the cockpit should draw the eye. Blue is the option that reads deliberately against BMW's own Motorsport scheme.
