The Brutale 675 is the smallest of MV Agusta's triples. The JP ACS 060 replaces its throttle housing with a machined Ergal unit carrying a shorter cam.

An Awkward Displacement, Deliberately
Six hundred and seventy-five cubic centimetres put the Brutale below the tax and licence thresholds that mattered in several European markets while giving it more than any 600 offered. MV built it for a commercial reason and produced a genuinely charming motorcycle by accident.
The Cheapest Way Into the Marque
For several years this was the least expensive new MV Agusta available, which made it the first for a great many owners. That matters because people who buy their first Italian motorcycle tend to keep it and spend on it rather than trading up quickly.
A Small Triple Wants Revs
With less midrange than the 800, the 675 has to be worked, and the standard throttle travel makes that more laborious than it should be. A shorter cam reduces the wrist movement between corners, which on a bike ridden this way is felt on every exit.
Entirely Mechanical
Cable throttle, so the conversion involves no electronics at all. The original cables are reused and nothing is spliced, cut or coded. It is the kind of change that can be undone in an afternoon.
Where MV Saved Money
Not in the engine or the frame, both of which are shared with the 800. The cast housing and its moulded cover are among the components where the price was made to work, and they are correspondingly conspicuous on a bike this pretty.
Plain Flank
This version carries no lettering. The alternative with JetPrime's logo milled into it exists for owners who want it; on a Brutale, whose own badging is already assertive, the unmarked version is usually the better fit.
