Two Drillings, One Motorcycle
JetPrime supplies this switch as a universal plate and as this dedicated aligned version. The dedicated one is the narrower package and sits closer to the master cylinder, which frees space on a bar that is frequently carrying a phone mount or a lever guard as well.
Reading the Clamp
Aligned means the two bolts sit on a line square to the handlebar. If one is set ahead of the other, the offset arrangement applies and this is the wrong part. It is a five-second check with the bike in front of you and the commonest cause of a return.
The Moto2 Connection
Triumph has supplied the 765 triple to Moto2 since 2019, and the development has flowed back into the road engine. The R version makes 120 hp with a torque curve that starts working from three thousand revs, which is what makes the bike so easy to ride quickly.
A Cockpit on Display
Naked motorcycles are judged on their handlebar area because there is nothing else in front of the rider. Replacing a moulded housing with a machined one changes the impression the whole cockpit gives for the price of a single component.
Sealed Against Weather
No fairing means rain reaches the controls at road speed and stays there. Sealed switch elements inside a one-piece body are the practical answer, and the standard assembly offers neither property.
Two Finishes
Black and titanium on this part number. Both are anodised through the surface, so a knock dulls the component rather than leaving a bright scar on an otherwise dark cockpit.
