DescriptionThe whole story▼

Two Drillings for One Bike
JetPrime supplies this switch as a universal plate and as this dedicated offset version. The dedicated one is narrower and sits closer to the master cylinder, which on a small bike with limited bar space is a more useful difference than it would be on a litre machine.
Establishing the Geometry
Look at the clamp half currently on the motorcycle. Offset means one bolt sits ahead of the other relative to the bar. Deducing it from the cylinder's brand is unreliable because manufacturers change the spacing between product generations, and it is the commonest reason a part like this goes back.
Racing Bikes Change Their Brakes
The Ninja 400 fills entry-level racing grids across Europe, and a braided line and a better master cylinder are usually the first things fitted. That is where the offset geometry generally comes from, and it is why the dedicated version exists at all.
A Bike Ridden Every Day
Between race weekends these motorcycles commute. Sealed switch elements inside a one-piece milled housing are what determines whether the controls still feel accurate after two winters of that, and the standard moulding offers neither property.
Three Finishes
Black, titanium and red. All anodised through the surface, so a low-speed crash scuffs the component rather than stripping it back to bright aluminium.
No Racing Loom Needed
This is a standard replacement rather than a competition part. It uses Kawasaki's own connector and the factory ECU, so the bike stays road legal and fully diagnosable whether or not it also races at weekends.
