DescriptionThe whole story▼
For the revised Dragster 800, the JP PLS 022 replaces the left-hand switch with a body machined from Ergal 7075.
Key Features
- MV Agusta Brutale Dragster 800 (2018–2020)
- Full street control set
- Black, red or titanium anodising
- CNC-milled Ergal 7075
- Sealed switch elements
- Plug-and-play on the original connector
Styling With Consequences
The Dragster's wide rear tyre and spoked aluminium rims give it a stance nothing else in the class matches and cost it a measurable amount of agility. MV made the trade openly and the motorcycle's buyers have never seemed to mind.
The SCS Version
Some bikes in this generation use a Rekluse centrifugal clutch, allowing the machine to be held stationary in gear without the lever. It is an unusual fitment on a naked bike and it works considerably better than it sounds.
What the Left Hand Handles
Indicators, horn, beam and the navigation of the display with its maps and traction settings. On a bike used on the road daily, the indicator control alone accumulates operations faster than everything else combined.
Nothing Deflects Anything
There is no bodywork on a Dragster at all. Water arrives at the controls directly at road speed, and sealed elements inside a housing with no moulded joint are the only meaningful response to that.
Metal Against Metal
Trellis frame, single-sided swingarm, spoked rims and exposed engine cases. A machined aluminium component belongs among those in a way an injection-moulded shell does not, and on this bike the visual argument is unusually strong.
Three Finishes
Black, red and titanium. Limited-edition Dragsters frequently arrive in assertive colours, and against those black is generally the option that lets the cockpit stay calm rather than competing with the bodywork.
Cut From One Billet
The joint in a two-piece clipped housing is where buttons soften and where water eventually enters. Removing it by machining the body from a single block addresses both problems with the same decision.
