DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ACC DU020 short-stroke throttle grip gives the Ducati Hypermotard V2 890 (2026) a sharper, more direct throttle action. Machined from solid Ergal, this ride-by-wire unit cuts rotation down to 60 degrees, shortening wrist travel while keeping the response and sensitivity riders expect from the stock cable throttle.
Key Features
- Ducati Hypermotard V2 890 (2026)
- Ride-by-wire (electronic) quick throttle, not a cable conversion
- Body machined from solid Ergal for strength and low weight
- Rotation shortened to 60 degrees end to end
- Response and sensitivity tuned to match the factory cable throttle
- Plug-and-play fitment built specifically for this Hypermotard model
A Shorter Throw, A Quicker Wrist
Where the stock throttle asks for a long twist from closed to full, this grip needs only 60 degrees of rotation. Less wrist travel means faster transitions between throttle positions, useful whenever a rider needs to open or shut the gas in a hurry rather than roll through a long arc.
Solid Ergal Construction
The grip housing is machined from one solid block of Ergal rather than cast or moulded. Ergal is a high-strength aluminium alloy, so the finished part stays light at the handlebar while standing up to the knocks and vibration that a quick-turning throttle sees over repeated use.
Electronic, Not Mechanical
This is a ride-by-wire throttle grip: it sends an electronic signal to the bike's throttle body rather than pulling a cable. JetPrime designed the internals so that twist-for-twist feel and sensitivity match a traditional cable throttle, so the shorter rotation does not feel abrupt or overly sharp at small openings.
Suited to the Hypermotard's Riding Position
The Hypermotard V2 890 is built around an upright, supermoto-style stance that rewards quick, confident throttle inputs out of corners and off the line. A shorter rotation complements that riding position, letting the rider reach full throttle with less hand movement during the standing starts and flick-flack changes of direction the bike is known for.
Plug-and-Play for This Model
JetPrime builds this throttle grip specifically for the Ducati Hypermotard V2 890 (2026), matching the bike's own electronics and connector layout. There is no rewiring or signal mismatch to work around: the unit is designed to replace the factory throttle grip directly on this model alone.
