The Hole Pattern Applies Here Too
The clamp bolts through the same two holes as the switch it carries, which means it is drilled for one arrangement or the other. This is the aligned version, for master cylinders whose bolts sit level across the handlebar. Check the bike before ordering; there is a separate part for the staggered pattern.
Four Buttons
The seat length is cut for a four-button housing. JetPrime's two-button and three-button switches take different clamps, and mixing them does not work — the switch will not sit correctly on the bar.
Supplied With Some Switches
A few JetPrime part numbers include this clamp in the box, in which case it does not need buying. Where the switch is supplied on its own, this is the component that completes the mounting.
Four Buttons Means a Road Bike
A four-button right-hand switch carries the starter, the engine cut-out and two further functions the manufacturer chose — usually the mode selector and the hazards. That is a road specification rather than a race one, which is why this clamp appears on registered motorcycles far more often than on prepared ones.
The Bolt Spacing Is Not Adjustable
There is no slot and no tolerance to take up. The two holes either line up with the master cylinder or they do not, and no amount of persuasion changes that. It is the reason the hole pattern appears in the product title rather than as a footnote in the specifications.
Included With Some Switches, Not Others
Several JetPrime references ship with the clamp in the box and several do not, and the difference is not always obvious from the listing. Checking before ordering avoids buying a second one, and having a spare is not the worst outcome on a bike that will be crashed.
