Two Race Clusters, Two Generations
JetPrime lists a separate left-hand race switch for the 2023-onward RS under a different number. This one covers the earlier loom, which is why the same motorcycle appears twice in the catalogue with different parts. The registration year decides, not the badge on the tank.
Britain's Answer to the Middleweight Four
When the supersport class collapsed, Triumph kept a light, high-revving triple in production and quietly inherited the riders who still wanted one. The RS is what a 600 would have become if development had continued, and the grids it appears on reflect that.
Ohlins at the Back, Stylema at the Front
The RS specification is the reason it ends up on circuits rather than in city centres. A rear shock worth adjusting and calipers that do not fade give the chassis a ceiling most riders never reach, and preparing the cockpit is part of chasing it.
The Argument Against Indicators
Not weight and not legality. It is that a thumb moving blind counts positions down the housing, and a control with no function on a circuit is a position that has to be learned and then skipped. Taking it out widens every gap that remains.
Nothing Upstream Changes
The bike keeps its own loom, its own ECU and every rider aid Triumph fitted. That is the practical difference between a race cluster and a superbike one: this can go on between two weekends without a wiring project preceding it.
Anodised Through
Black, titanium and copper, with the colour converted into the surface rather than laid on top. When the bike goes down the finish greys rather than flaking away to bare metal, which on a motorcycle that will slide is worth more than the shade itself.
