Two Hundred and Eight Horsepower on a Circuit
A naked bike with this much power is a strange thing on a track and an entertaining one. The winglets stop being decorative above a certain speed, and the absence of bodywork makes a mistake dramatically cheaper than it would be on an F4.
Removing What the Circuit Ignores
Indicators and horn go with the lights, and the positions they occupied go too. A thumb working blind counts down the housing, and every redundant position is one more chance to arrive at the wrong control.
Traction Levels Worth Reaching
Eight of them, and on a 208 hp naked they are genuinely used rather than set once. Stepping the intervention down as a rear tyre goes off is a press made at speed with the other hand braking.
Standard Loom Retained
This is a race cluster rather than a superbike one, so no aftermarket harness or external dashboard is required. MV's own connector and ECU are used and every rider aid continues to function as calibrated.
The Bar Lands First
On a naked motorcycle there is no fairing to take a slide. The handlebar end and the switch on it reach the ground early, and a body cut from Ergal scuffs where a clipped moulding splits at the clamp.
Sealed for the Paddock
Sealed elements inside a one-piece housing. Track machines are cleaned hot after every outing and stored damp, and ingress rather than the number of presses is what ends switchgear in that environment.
Black Anodised
A single finish, converted into the surface. On a race-prepared machine a cockpit that gives the eye nothing to catch is easier to read at the end of a straight.
