DescriptionThe whole story▼
For the 990 Duke, the JP PSR KT048 is the race left cluster, milled from Ergal 7075 with the road controls removed.
Key Features
- KTM 990 Duke (2024–2026)
- Reduced race control set
- Black, titanium or orange anodising
- CNC-milled Ergal 7075
- Sealed switch elements
- Plug-and-play on the original connector
A Middleweight With Litre-Bike Electronics
Six-axis inertial measurement, cornering ABS and lean-sensitive traction control on a 947 cc twin. KTM fitted the 990 with a package that belonged to considerably more expensive motorcycles a few years ago, and it matters on a circuit.
A Longer Swingarm
The change altered how the bike puts power down more than any electronic revision would have. The 990 is more settled under drive than the 890 was, which on a fast circuit is worth more than the extra horsepower.
Removing the Road Set
Indicators and horn come off with the lights, and the positions they held go too. The remaining controls sit further apart, which is what lets the thumb identify them by counting without the eyes leaving the track.
The Modes Still Matter
Traction level and engine braking are adjusted between sessions and sometimes during them. Those are the controls that stay, and freeing the road positions is what gives them room to be found reliably.
Factory Wiring
KTM's connector and the standard ECU. No racing harness is needed, which keeps the conversion to an unplug-and-plug job that can be done in a paddock with hand tools.
Three Finishes
Black, titanium and orange, anodised through the surface rather than painted on. Black is what most track-prepared bikes get; the others suit a machine still used on the road as well.
Sealed and Milled
Contacts sealed inside a body cut from a single block. Ingress rather than mechanical wear is what ends switchgear on a bike cleaned hot after every outing.
