The JP CJP 082H sits between the Tracer 700's loom and its injectors with a map the owner writes, and unplugs to leave the motorcycle entirely standard.

The Predecessor
The earlier Tracer used the same twin with simpler equipment. It sold enormously well by being competent and inexpensive.
Starting From Zero
An empty map means the motorcycle runs exactly as it did before, because every correction is nought. That is the safest possible starting point and it is where every session should begin.
The Baseline Ride
Ride the motorcycle with an empty map and note where it hesitates, surges or feels flat. That list is the specification for the first mapping session.
Race Fuel
A different octane rating and a different energy content change what the engine wants. Anybody switching between fuels needs two maps and the discipline to write the right one.
Regulations
Championships differ on engine management. Some permit added fuel controllers freely, some restrict them and a few prohibit them, and only the rulebook decides which.
Measure or Guess
There is no third option. A wideband sensor turns mapping into engineering; without one it is an expensive way to develop opinions about an engine.
Cold Starting
Warm-up enrichment is the standard controller's job. A map can be shaped for a cold engine but the fundamental strategy is not this unit's to change.
The Reward for the Effort
An engine that pulls cleanly from anywhere, holds a steady speed without hunting and answers the throttle the same way on every corner exit.
Two Configurations, Two Files
Road silencer and race can, pump petrol and race fuel, summer and winter. Each combination deserves its own map, and switching between them takes less than a minute once they exist.
