The JP ES 028 replaces the Katana's PAIR reed housing with a machined blank sealed on an O-ring.

What It Replaces
A plastic box of reed valves bolted to the cylinder head, plumbed to the airbox. It is the half of the system that physically admits the air.
Visible From the Saddle
On a naked motorcycle the top of the engine is part of the design. A milled blank reads as deliberate where a capped hose reads as unfinished.
The Fuel Tank Argument
Twelve litres at launch drew more criticism than anything else about the Katana, and Suzuki eventually addressed it. The complaint was fair and the bike was still worth owning.
A Collector's Motorcycle
Enough people bought the revived Katana for the name alone that low-mileage examples already command a premium. That is unusual for a motorcycle less than a decade old.
An O-Ring, Not Sealant
A turned groove holds the ring against a machined face. The joint comes apart cleanly years later and leaves nothing to scrape off.
Eight Model Years
The fitment covers 2019 to 2026 across both specifications. Suzuki left the head arrangement alone through the 2022 update.
Nothing Drilled
Original bolt positions and original torque. The cylinder head is not modified and no thread is touched.
The Other Half
The solenoid circuit is still monitored by the ECU. A blanked head alone does not stop the fault appearing on the display.
Emissions Approval
The system is part of the bike's type approval and removing it ends road legality in Europe. This is a track part.
Reversible
Four fasteners and the standard housing goes back on. No parts are consumed and nothing is left behind.
