The JP ES 016 clears one specific warning on the Streetfighter V4: the number plate lamp, monitored on its own circuit separately from every other light on the motorcycle.

There is a difference between satisfying a test and suppressing its result, and only one of those survives a workshop scan.
What Ducati Actually Fits
A small lamp moulded into the hanger assembly on most of the range, which means it cannot be kept when the hanger goes. There is nothing to transfer.
The Load It Restores
The eliminator presents the current draw the circuit expects, potted into a body with Ducati's own connector moulded onto it. The controller reads a normal load, reports nothing and stores nothing, which means a later diagnostic session shows a genuine history rather than a warning somebody learned to ignore.
Why the Plate Lamp Is Watched Separately
Ducati's body controller treats each lighting circuit as its own item, because the legislation behind them does. That is why a machine with a tail tidy can show one warning and a machine with an LED tail unit can show a different one, and why clearing the first has no effect at all on the second.
