The JetPrime Kill Switch Button (JP KS YA005) replaces the standard ignition block on a track-prepared Yamaha Tracer 9. Machined from solid Ergal and fitted with an IP69K push button, it drops the key and lock altogether, trimming around 350 grams while keeping the switch rock solid under vibration.

Dropping the Key and Lock
On a track-prepared Tracer 9, the factory ignition block and its key barrel are dead weight with no job to do once the bike lives on a stand rather than a street. This kill switch takes their place with a single sealed push button.
Where the Weight Saving Comes From
Removing the lock mechanism, key barrel and surrounding housing accounts for the roughly 350 gram reduction. It is not a dramatic number on its own, but it is weight taken from a part of the bike that never did anything for lap times.
Solid Ergal Construction
The body is machined from a single block of Ergal rather than cast or stamped, which is why it copes with vibration, heat and repeated impacts in the paddock without the switch itself becoming the weak point.
An IP69K Push Button
Washdowns, rain and track dust are routine for a race bike, so the button carries an IP69K rating. That is a high bar for ingress protection, well beyond what a standard road switch would ever need to handle.
Fitted Specifically to the Tracer 9
The mounting and wiring are matched to this model, so the switch drops into the existing harness without adapters or extra brackets, going in exactly where the ignition block used to sit. Riders fitting it typically do so alongside other weight-saving changes already made to a dedicated track build.
