DescriptionThe whole story▼
On the MV Agusta Brutale Dragster 800 (2018–2022) the JP ACCGP MV002 shortens the throttle's rotation to sixty degrees and adds a progressive return spring the standard grip never had, while the flat-seat naked's muscular, upright stance stays exactly as MV Agusta built it, with nothing changed in the fuelling behind the new hardware.
Key Features
- MV Agusta Brutale Dragster 800 (2018–2022)
- GP Series ride-by-wire quick throttle with a sixty degree rotation angle
- Progressive return spring, preload adjustable externally in three positions
- CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075
- Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
- Standard throttle assembly refits at any time
A Stance Built Around Confidence
The Dragster 800's flat seat and wide bars put the rider in an upright, confident position that tends to invite quick, assertive throttle inputs rather than hesitant ones. A shorter rotation matches that stance: the hand reaches full opening sooner, and the triple's response follows exactly as quickly as the chassis seems to want it to.
A Spring That Pushes Back Progressively
Where the standard grip simply returns to idle, this one adds a progressive return spring that resists more as the throttle opens further, giving a sense of where the hand is within the rotation rather than a flat, uniform resistance throughout.
Compatible With the Existing Switches
The horn, indicator and mode switches on the Dragster's bar stay exactly where MV Agusta put them, since the new throttle body bolts onto the stock clamp without asking for anything to be relocated or rewired before the bike is ridden again.
A Diagnostic Step Before the First Ride
The ride-by-wire control unit needs to relearn the throttle position sensor's range once the new grip is fitted, a short procedure that most workshops already set up for MV Agusta electronics complete before the bike leaves the shop for the road.
Where the Dragster's Fatigue Shows Up
A naked bike with bars this wide asks for a fair amount of arm extension, and on a long ride the last part of the standard throttle's rotation is often where riders first notice their wrist starting to tire well before the tank runs low.
Nothing Permanent About the Swap
The factory throttle can go back on at any time without leaving a trace, so testing the shorter rotation on the Dragster does not mean committing to it before an owner has had the chance to judge it properly over several rides.
