The S Package
The V2S sits above the base V2 mainly through its semi-active suspension and a fuller electronics package, aimed at riders who want the adventure-touring format with more of the chassis adjusting itself to the road or trail underneath. A throttle that can also be adjusted to the rider's preference fits naturally alongside a suspension that already does the same.
Varied Terrain, One Day
A V2S is as likely to spend a morning on motorway slabs as an afternoon on a gravel forest road, and the suspension's semi-active settings already adapt between the two. Giving the throttle its own adjustable preload lets the rider match that same adaptability at the hand, rather than leaving one part of the bike fixed while the rest adjusts.
Machined to Last
The GP Series lever is milled from a single billet of 7075 aluminium rather than cast, which holds its tolerances more consistently through the vibration and exposure that come with riding on gravel and unsealed roads. On a bike built for exactly that kind of varied terrain, that durability matters more than it would on a bike kept strictly to tarmac.
Three Stages, Set From Outside
The preload's three stages are adjusted from outside the throttle housing without needing to open it up, which suits a bike whose owner might want to firm things up the evening before a demanding mountain route and soften them again for the following day's motorway stretch.
Sixty Degrees Over a Long Day
Reducing the throttle's rotation to 60 degrees means the wrist does less total work over a day that might run to many hours in the saddle, since every one of the thousands of small corrections asks for slightly less turning than the standard long-stroke throttle would.
Reversible for Resale
Because adventure-touring bikes are often kept for years and then sold on, some owners value knowing the GP Series can be removed with the factory throttle refitted exactly as it was, leaving no permanent trace of the change for a future owner or a dealer trade-in inspection to notice.
