DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ACCGP DU020 GP Series quick throttle takes the standard Ergal-machined grip for the Ducati Monster V2 and adds a new progressive spring with externally adjustable preload across three positions. The 60-degree rotation and ride-by-wire design carry over, but riders can now tune return-spring feel without opening the grip.
Key Features
- Ducati Monster V2 (2026)
- Machined from solid Ergal, GP Series specification
- New progressive spring for finer throttle response control
- Externally adjustable preload, three available positions
- 60-degree reduced rotation angle, electronic ride-by-wire
- Plug-and-play fitment specific to the Ducati Monster V2
What separates GP Series from the standard grip
The base JP ACC DU020 already shortens throttle rotation to 60 degrees on the Monster V2; the GP Series version keeps that geometry but replaces the return spring with a progressive unit whose preload can be adjusted from outside the grip.
Three preload positions explained
Rather than a single fixed spring rate, the GP Series grip offers three external preload settings, letting a rider move between a lighter, quicker-return feel and a firmer one without stripping the throttle down on the Monster V2. Switching between the three settings takes only a small tool and a couple of minutes trackside.
Why a progressive spring helps
A progressive spring changes resistance through the stroke rather than staying linear, which can make small throttle openings easier to meter precisely while still snapping the grip shut quickly once the rider lets go. Many riders find this particularly useful when transitioning between slow technical sections and fast straights.
Fitting the GP Series grip
Like the standard version, this throttle is built to the Monster V2's bar, switchgear and electronic connector, so it installs as a direct plug-and-play replacement with no extra wiring or bracket work required. No cutting, splicing or extra brackets are needed beyond what the standard grip already requires.
Who reaches for the GP Series version
Riders who have already tried the 60-degree quick throttle and want to fine-tune return feel for a specific track or riding style are the audience for this GP Series upgrade on the Monster V2. It remains a bolt-on accessory rather than a component requiring any further tuning software.
