DescriptionThe whole story▼
JP PDQ MV002 E, in bronze, is JetPrime's additional switch for the Brutale 800, built to carry the right-hand controls once a quick-action throttle has taken over the space those buttons used to occupy on the grip.
Key Features
- MV Agusta Brutale 800 (2012–2015)
- Fits the MV Agusta Brutale 800 (2012–2015)
- CNC-machined from solid Ergal, bronze anodised
- Mounts onto the JetPrime quick throttle body
- Plug and play on the factory connector
- Only usable with a JetPrime quick throttle fitted
A Cable Throttle, Shortened
This generation of Brutale 800 runs a cable-actuated throttle rather than a ride-by-wire system, so fitting a quick-action unit changes the cable's pull ratio directly, and this switch follows that conversion onto the throttle body itself. Few riders think about Shortened until the switch is already on the bench.
Bronze on an Italian Naked
CNC-milled Ergal 7075 anodised bronze suits a bike already built around visible, sculpted components, a tone that reads differently against the Brutale's typically dark bodywork than the titanium alternative would, standing out rather than blending in. That single fact about Naked is worth checking before placing an order.
Why the Controls Need to Move
With the throttle body now carrying the quick-action mechanism, there is no room left beside the grip for the horn, indicator and light switches, so they relocate to this dedicated housing instead, clipped where the bar used to carry them.
A Naked Built on the Triple Platform
The Brutale 800 shares its three-cylinder architecture with other MV models from the same era, though the naked's upright bars and exposed frame give it a different feel at the controls than a fully-faired sibling. It is a small point about Platform, but a real one in the workshop.
Specific to This Model's Connector
JetPrime wires each switch to match the host bike's own plug, and the Brutale 800's connector from this period is what this part is built around, rather than any later or earlier MV loom sharing a similar name. That detail around Connector is easy to overlook until the part is in hand.
