DescriptionThe whole story▼
Designed to bolt onto JetPrime's quick throttle for the KTM 1290 Super Adventure, this Additional Handlebar Switch (JP PDQ KT069) puts extra controls at the throttle hand instead of adding clutter to an already busy touring bar. It is available in a Titanium anodised finish, with Bronze sold as a separate product.
Key Features
- KTM 1290 Super Adventure (2017–2020)
- Mounts directly on the JetPrime quick throttle
- Keeps the touring bar free of extra clutter
- Anodised Titanium finish (Bronze sold separately)
- Plug-and-play fit specific to this model
- Works only as an add-on to the quick throttle
Switchgear That Travels Light
Long-distance Super Adventure builds often carry GPS units, auxiliary lighting switches and heated grip controls already, so adding one more button to the bar is rarely welcome. This switch sidesteps that by living on the throttle instead.
A Natural Spot for an Extra Control
Because the thumb and fingers of the throttle hand are already in that area on long rides, mounting a switch there rather than further along the bar keeps reach short and movements small. It is a small change in position, but one that keeps the rider's attention and hand movement to a minimum.
A Titanium Finish Option
The Titanium anodising lets the switch match other JetPrime hardware already fitted to a given Super Adventure, from quick throttle bodies to levers finished the same way. The finish is anodised rather than painted, so the colour should hold up well across long-distance use. A separate Bronze-anodised version is sold on its own for riders who want a warmer tone.
An Add-On, Not a Stand-In
This switch is not designed to be fitted on its own; it needs the JetPrime quick throttle already in place, since that is where its mounting and connections are built to sit. Trying to fit it without a quick throttle already on the bike leaves it with nothing to attach to.
Straightforward Installation
Fitting follows the same plug-and-play principle as JetPrime's other switchgear, so the hardware goes on without rewiring the rest of the bike's electrics. No extra wiring runs are needed beyond the connection already built into the quick throttle assembly.
