DescriptionThe whole story▼
JP PDQ KA054 E is JetPrime's bronze-anodised switch for the Kawasaki ZX-10 RR, the homologation variant Kawasaki builds to support its WorldSBK programme. Owners running a quick-action throttle need this block to keep the right-hand controls within reach once the throttle's travel is shortened.
Key Features
- Kawasaki ZX-10 RR (2021–2025)
- Kawasaki ZX-10 RR (2021–2025)
- For quick-action throttle installations
- Bronze anodised Ergal 7075
- CNC-machined from solid
- Military-specification switch elements
- Pre-wired for the original connector
Built in Limited Numbers for a Reason
Kawasaki does not build the RR as a simple trim step above the standard ZX-10R; the model exists to let the firm qualify hardware for its World Superbike entry, and buyers who choose it over the regular bike tend to ride accordingly, adding parts such as a quick-action throttle rather than leaving the bike as it left the factory.
Occupying the Space a Shorter Throttle Frees Up
The original right-hand functions lose their spot on the bar once the throttle's travel is shortened. This block is machined to fill that gap on the ZX-10 RR's handlebar specifically, rather than adapted from the standard ZX-10R. The dimensions follow the RR's own bar, which Kawasaki altered slightly from the standard ZX-10R to suit its homologation role.
Bronze Anodised Into the Surface
The colour runs through the Ergal during anodising rather than sitting over it, so it will not wear back to bare aluminium under repeated glove contact across full seasons of track use. A coating would eventually wear thin at exactly the point a glove grips hardest; the anodised layer resists that.
Elements Sealed for Track Conditions
Military-specification switch elements tolerate more heat, moisture and vibration than a road-registered ZX-10 RR produces on its own, the kind of margin a homologation special's owners tend to actually use. A bike built with racing in mind is more likely to actually see the conditions this sealing was designed for.
Specific to This Model, Reversible
The loom plugs into Kawasaki's original connector with nothing spliced, so the standard setup can be restored. The block fits only the ZX-10 RR and only works alongside an already-fitted JetPrime quick-action throttle. The standard ZX-10R's own switch mounting differs enough that this part is built only for the RR variant.
