Fitting a quick-action throttle to a Norden 901 displaces the right-hand controls. The JP PDQ KT048 is the additional switch that carries them on a mounting of its own.

Husqvarna's First Real Tourer
The Norden 901 arrived in 2022 built on KTM's 889 cc parallel twin, and it was the first time Husqvarna had made a serious attempt at the large adventure market. What distinguished it was restraint: where the KTM 890 Adventure is aggressive and orange, the Norden is calm, round-headlighted and considerably easier to look at.
Why Change the Throttle at All
The standard action is long, which suits a bike expected to be ridden on loose surfaces where a sharp response is a liability. Riders who use the Norden mostly on tarmac often find it slower than the engine deserves, and shortening the travel is the usual answer.
The Switch Has to Go Somewhere
The standard cluster is built around the throttle tube and cannot survive its replacement. This unit takes over the starter and engine stop controls on an independent bar clamp, wired to the original connector so the electronics are unchanged and nothing has to be spliced.
Positioned by the Rider
Because the mounting is separate from the throttle, the switch angle and position can be set to suit the hand rather than being dictated by where the tube finishes. On an adventure bike with a wide bar and a fairly upright posture, that adjustability is worth having.
Titanium, and Only Titanium
JetPrime builds this unit in one finish. Against the Norden's mostly grey and black cockpit it reads as a component rather than an accessory, which is in keeping with a motorcycle whose entire design argument is understatement.
