The air-cooled 803 cc twin of the Scrambler 800 is simple and robust, and its owners often do their own oil changes. Gilles lists the OFC-20-25, with M20 x 2.5 thread, for the Scramblers of types 3K/4K from 2021 and 3K/8K from 2022.

Check the type
For the first Scrambler of 2015 and 2016, type K1, Gilles lists a different cap, the OFC-20-25-1, sold separately. The type is in your registration papers; the two caps are not interchangeable in Gilles' list.
Two valves, desmo
The 803 cc twin uses two desmodromic valves per cylinder, a simple and proven design that home mechanics like to maintain themselves.
Road Approval
No registration required, says Gilles, and no TÜV either: the OFC goes on the Ducati SCRAMBLER 800 without an inspection and without any change to the papers.

The OFC cap with M20 x 2.5, four coloured inserts to choose from, and the Gilles tool.
Fitting
Swap the caps with the bike upright and the engine cold. Hand-tight first, then snug with the tool; overtightening does nothing for the seal.
