The 1299 S combines the big Superquadro twin with Öhlins semi-active suspension, and many owners treat it as a special bike. A Gilles OFC on its engine is a small detail in the same spirit: milled aluminium with a coloured insert.

Gilles lists the OFC-20-25-1 for the 1299 S. The gold insert matches the Öhlins parts; the cap opens with a hexagon key or the supplied tool.
Engine as structure
In the Panigale, the monocoque frame is attached directly to the engine, which carries chassis loads as well as making power.
Road Approval
No registration required, says Gilles, and no TÜV either: the OFC goes on the Ducati Panigale 1299 S without an inspection and without any change to the papers.
Scope of Delivery
One oil filler cap with M20 x 2.5; the kit includes the four inserts and the opening tool.
Fitting
With the engine off and cool, unscrew the original filler cap and screw the OFC in by hand. Tighten it with the supplied tool; firm is enough. Choose the insert colour you want and check the oil level as usual.
