DescriptionThe whole story▼
An Icon Dark built into an all-black bike needs black details everywhere, and a shiny or coloured bar end breaks the look. The Gilles IP weights in black are a matt-anodised cylinder that disappears into the rest of the bike.
Key Features
- Mounting kit for handlebars with 12 to 22 mm inner diameter
- Colours: black, gold or red
- Supplied as a pair
- Protrudes 24 mm from the bar end
- 28 g per weight, without the internal mounting parts
- No registration required, according to Gilles
Total black
Owners who go this way usually swap the indicators, the mirrors and the grips as well, and the bar ends come last. Gilles' list covers this Scrambler in the K1 version of 2015 and 2016. If you want the opposite effect, gold or red cylinders are available instead of black.
Road Approval
Gilles marks the weights as free of registration on the Ducati SCRAMBLER 800 ICON DARK. Fit them as described, check grip and throttle, and ride; nothing has to be entered anywhere.
Scope of Delivery
A pair of Gilles LG-IP-22 weights, colour as selected, and the internal mounting parts for 12 to 22 mm bars.
Fitting
Before fitting, measure the inner diameter of the bar end; the kit covers 12 to 22 mm. Push the weight in with its expander, tighten it, and make sure the grip and throttle move without touching the weight.
