DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Factory badge on an RSV4 means Öhlins, forged wheels and a level of adjustability that borders on obsessive. Against that background the standard brake lever stands out for the opposite reason: it is the one control on the bike with nothing to set.
Key Features
- Milled Gilles face for a secure gloved grip
- Bolts to the original master cylinder without adapters
- Reach adjustable through 35 positions, set by hand
- Central adjuster wheel, reachable from the riding position
- Folding blade that swings clear instead of snapping off
- Road legal in Germany under ABE No. KBA 91203
How It Is Made
Cut from one piece of aluminium, anodised black after the pivot is bored, and phosphated at that bore. The milled Gilles face on the upper surface gives a gloved fingertip a repeatable landing point, which matters once you are braking hard enough to need one.
Adjustability, Completed
Owners of a Factory tend to spend time setting the bike up properly: preload, compression, rebound, ride height. Lever reach belongs on that list and has historically been missing from it. Thirty-five positions bring it into the same conversation as everything else.
Falling Over Is Expensive Here
Forged wheels and Öhlins forks do not make a low-side cheaper. The hinged blade folds clear instead of levering into the master cylinder, and the engineered break point stays inside the two-finger zone.
Road Approval
Approved for German roads under ABE No. KBA 91203, downloadable from this page. Print the certificate and keep it with the registration documents; no entry and no inspection are required.
Scope of Delivery
One black brake lever for the RSV4 Factory, supplied alone. Nothing about the fitting is permanent.
