Crafted from autoclave-cured 100% carbon fibre, the Fullsix sprocket cover for the BMW S1000RR K67 replaces a 128 g OEM plastic unit with a 51 g precision component — a saving of 77 g from a single bolt-on part. Available in 245 Twill weave with a choice of Glossy, Matt or Raw finish, it is the kind of detail that separates a properly built S1000RR from everything else in the pit lane.
Key Features
- Autoclave-manufactured 100% carbon fibre construction — no mixed fibres, no fillers, no compromise on structural integrity
- Dramatic weight reduction: 51 g versus the OEM part at 128 g, contributing to improved handling and drivetrain response
- 245 Twill weave pattern delivers deep motorsport texture and a finish that integrates cleanly with the S1000RR's bodywork
- Plug-and-play fitment — direct OEM replacement requiring no modifications or additional brackets
- Shields the front sprocket from road debris, stone strikes and contamination while improving airflow around the drivetrain
- UV-resistant resin prevents yellowing and material fatigue over time, whether used on track or road
- Three finish options: Glossy for a refined showroom look, Matt for an aggressive racing aesthetic, Raw for those who prefer a bespoke paint or wrap
Build Quality and Materials
Fullsix produces this sprocket cover using the same autoclave process applied to components found on factory World Superbike machinery. The 245 Twill carbon weave is hand-laid and vacuum-cured under controlled pressure and temperature, producing a panel with exceptional rigidity relative to its mass. The resin system is UV-stabilised throughout, ensuring the surface remains crisp and true whether the bike spends its weekends at a circuit or commuting between track days.
The three available surface finishes are applied to the same structural shell, so the performance characteristics are identical across variants. The Glossy finish is lacquered to a deep, clear-coated shine; the Matt finish carries a satin top coat that reads as purposefully understated; the Raw finish is supplied without a clear coat, leaving the weave exposed for custom painting or to keep overall weight at an absolute minimum.
Performance and Functionality
Beyond the aesthetic upgrade, the Fullsix sprocket cover serves a genuine mechanical purpose. Its geometry channels airflow more effectively than the standard cover, reducing heat build-up around the front sprocket and chain interface. The rigid carbon shell absorbs and deflects stone strikes that would deform or crack a standard plastic cover, and its sealed profile keeps chain lubricant spray away from surrounding components. The weight saving, while modest in isolation, sits at an unsprung and rotating position in the drivetrain — exactly where gram-for-gram reductions have the most perceptible effect on acceleration and feel.
Road type approval (ABE — Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis) is currently in preparation for this component.
