DescriptionThe whole story▼
The side panels are the two surfaces that sit between the tank and the seat on an XDiavel — the part of the motorcycle at eye level when you walk up to it. Ducati moulds them in painted plastic. In carbon they become the panels that set the tone for everything else on the bike.
Key Features
- Left and right panels supplied as a matched set from mirrored moulds
- Five configurations across 200 Plain and 245 Twill weaves
- Replaces the painted originals on their standard fixing points
- At eye level and directly in the sightline of anyone standing beside the motorcycle
- Matches the tail section MD-XD16-C57 and the seat cover MD-XD16-C67 if those are fitted
Buy the Set, Not One Side
These are sold as a pair for a reason that goes beyond convenience. Two carbon panels from different production runs can differ subtly in weave alignment and surface depth, and on parts that sit symmetrically on a motorcycle at eye level, that difference is the first thing a critical eye finds. Bought together, they come from the same run.
It is also worth deciding the weave here before buying anything else. These panels are the reference surface for the rest of the motorcycle: whatever weave they carry is what the tail, the seat cover and the belly pan will have to match.
Fitment and Compatibility
Ducati XDiavel and XDiavel S, 2016 to 2024, on the original fixings. Fit both sides with the fasteners loose, set the gaps to the tank and the seat, then tighten — working one side to completion first is how a set ends up asymmetric.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval for this set. These are replacement body panels rather than structural components; confirm the position for your registration before road use.
Start Here if You Are Building the Whole Bike
For anyone planning several carbon parts rather than one, these panels are the right place to begin. They are at eye level, they are the largest visible surfaces other than the belly pan, and whatever weave they carry becomes the reference every other part has to match.
Starting anywhere else risks a decision by accident: buy a twill instrument cover because it was the cheap one in stock, and either the rest of the motorcycle follows a weave you did not choose deliberately or the instrument cover stops matching. Set the standard on the panels that matter and work outwards.
