This cover takes the place of the pillion pad. On a supersport that costs nothing, because nobody carries a passenger on one. On an S1000R it is a real decision, and the part is worth buying precisely because the decision can be reversed in a minute.

The Roadster Problem
An S1000R is comfortable enough to carry somebody, upright enough that they will agree to it, and quick enough that they will talk about it afterwards. A seat cover removes that option for as long as it is fitted.
Because the swap takes a minute and needs no tools beyond the ignition key, most owners keep both and choose per weekend. That is the sensible way to own this part, and it is the reason to keep the original pad in a cupboard rather than sell it on.
Fitment and Compatibility
BMW S1000R, model years 2013 to 2020, using the standard seat catch. The 2021 model takes a different cover. The same article serves the 2015-2018 S1000RR.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. Covering the pillion seat can affect what the vehicle is registered to carry in some markets, so confirm the position for your own registration before road use.
What Happens to the Pad
Store it flat and out of sunlight. A pillion pad left standing on edge in a warm garage for two years develops a set in the foam that does not come out, and the owner who wants to carry somebody in 2028 discovers it at the worst moment.
That sounds trivial and it is the most common complaint about seat covers in general. Flat, dark, dry — and the motorcycle goes back to standard whenever it needs to.
