DescriptionThe whole story▼
A short carbon carrier for the plate, its light and the rear reflector, on the original subframe points. On a 959 it sits in a slightly different environment from its siblings.
Key Features
- Plate carrier in autoclave carbon
- 200 Plain weave, four finishes
- Original subframe mounting points
- Takes the factory plate light
- Also listed for the 1199, 899 and 1299
Two Silencers Live Right There
The 959 carries its exhausts low and to the sides, which is the change Euro 4 forced and the thing most owners notice first. Those cans sit close to where a shortened plate carrier puts the plate and its wiring.
Before fitting, work out where the plate light's cable will run and keep it clear of anything that gets hot. On the standard long arm the routing is a long way from the silencers; on a short carrier it is not, and heat damage to a lighting cable is a fault that appears months later on a dark road.
The Regulated List
Plate angle, illumination of the plate surface, presence and visibility of the rear reflector: all three are prescribed, all three are checked, and all three become your responsibility once the factory assembly comes off.
Fitment and Compatibility
Ducati 959 Panigale, model years 2016 to 2019, on the original subframe points, reusing the factory plate light.
Road Approval
Fullsix issues no ABE and no EC type-approval number. In Germany a plate carrier without a Teilegutachten or ABE is not registrable on its own: settle it with your inspection organisation before fitting.
Fitting
Light across first, tested in the dark. Reflector checked from directly behind at plate height. Cable routing checked against the silencers with the bike cold, then again by hand after a short ride.
