DescriptionThe whole story▼
Behind the headlight of the first-generation Streetfighter V4 there is a structural panel carrying the light unit and closing the space in front of the top yoke. Ducati makes it in black plastic because on most motorcycles it is hidden. Here it is visible from the saddle, from the side through the gap beside the fork, and from directly in front when the bike is parked nose-on.
Key Features
- Inner headlight fairing, direct replacement for the original panel
- Available in 200 Plain and in 245 Twill
- Autoclave-cured laminate with the mounting bosses located as standard
- Original fixings, headlight and loom untouched
- Raw carbon is the lightest and least expensive configuration
Carrying a Load, Not Just Covering One
This is one of the few panels in the range that holds something up rather than hiding it. The headlight assembly attaches to it, which means the laminate has to keep a set of mounting points in the right relationship to each other under vibration, indefinitely.
That is exactly what autoclave curing is for. Pressure during cure raises the fibre fraction and reduces voids, and a panel with fewer voids keeps its geometry under cyclic load. On a purely cosmetic cover the difference is academic; on a mounting panel it is the reason to buy a made part rather than a cheap one.
Fitment and Compatibility
Ducati Streetfighter V4, model years 2020 to 2024, using the original headlight fixings. The 2025 machine uses a different front structure and takes its own article.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. It carries the original light unit without altering it, but confirm the position for your own registration before road use.
A Surface Seen Only at an Angle
Nothing looks straight at this panel. It is seen edge-on from the saddle, through a gap from the side and half in shadow from the front, which flattens the difference between the four lacquers considerably.
Twill is the weave worth paying for here rather than gloss, because a coarse diagonal still registers at an oblique angle where a fine chequer turns into a plain dark surface. Where the budget goes elsewhere, raw does the same job and costs least.
