DescriptionThe whole story▼
Heel guards are the parts of a motorcycle that only the rider sees properly, and they are the ones that wear first. Every time a boot goes down, comes back up, or slides forward under braking, it lands on this panel. On the 2025 Streetfighter V4 the original is a moulded plastic plate, and after a season of use it looks exactly like what it is.
Key Features
- Pair, left and right, for the standard rider footpeg brackets
- Four configurations in 200 Plain weave: clear coat, matt, satin and raw
- Autoclave-cured laminate that does not flex under a boot the way the plastic original does
- Uses the original fasteners and the original bracket positions
- Raw carbon is the least expensive of the four, because no lacquer is applied
A Wear Part Worth Making Properly
There is a case for leaving heel guards alone: they are going to get scuffed, so why fit carbon. The counter-argument is that they get scuffed because they are soft, and a cured laminate is a harder surface than injection-moulded plastic. Scuffing that would mark the original leaves less of a trace here.
The second reason is the one riders actually notice. These panels sit directly in your field of view when you look down at the footpeg, and they frame the rearset. On a motorcycle where the whole design argument is exposed mechanical parts, an unpainted plastic plate in that position is the weak link.
Fitment and Compatibility
Ducati Streetfighter V4, model years 2025 and 2026, using the original fasteners on the standard footpeg brackets. It does not fit the earlier Streetfighter V4, whose rearset geometry differs.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. Treat it as a replacement trim component and confirm the position for your own registration before road use.
Finish Choice on a Contact Surface
This is the one place where a hard-wearing finish matters more than a beautiful one, because your boot is touching it. Clear coat is glossy and shows every boot mark until it is wiped; on a panel that is touched constantly, that means wiping often. Matt hides contact marks better than any other finish here and is the pragmatic choice.
Satin is the compromise most riders end up choosing, dark enough to hide scuffing and deep enough to look like more than plastic. Raw has no lacquer to scratch through, which on a contact surface is a genuine argument rather than only a saving.
