DescriptionThe whole story▼
The electronics cover sits on the engine case over the sensor and wiring area, and it is one of three engine-side covers Fullsix builds for this motorcycle. On a machine with as much rider aid hardware as the S1000RR, the covers over that hardware are not trim — they are the first thing between an expensive control unit and the road.
Key Features
- Cover over the electronics area of the engine case, direct replacement
- 245 Twill weave in clear coat, matt or raw
- Autoclave-cured laminate, harder at the surface than the moulded original
- Original fasteners and mounting points, engine case untouched
- One of three matching engine covers for the same model run
Buy the Three Together or Not at All
Fullsix offers electronics, alternator and clutch covers for the 2019-2026 S1000RR as separate articles, and they sit in a row along the engine. One carbon cover between two black plastic ones is more conspicuous than three plastic ones, because the eye is drawn to the odd element rather than to the material.
There is no discount for ordering all three, and there is no technical reason to. It is purely a question of how the motorcycle reads from the side, which is the angle it is almost always seen from.
Fitment and Compatibility
BMW S1000RR, model years 2019 through 2026, on the original cover fixings. Machines with aftermarket engine protection in the same position will need the clearance checked.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. It covers without opening or altering the engine case, but confirm the position for your own registration before road use.
Cover, Not Crash Protection
This is worth stating plainly because the marketing around carbon engine covers frequently blurs it. A cover of this kind takes the scuff from a low-speed tip-over that would otherwise land on the case. It does not survive a slide at road speed, and neither would anything else of this shape and thickness.
Riders who want genuine protection fit sliders and treat these as what they are. Raw is the sensible finish for exactly that reason: cheapest, and nothing to chip when the motorcycle is manoeuvred in a garage.
