The alternator cover is on the left of the engine and is the largest of the three case covers. On a motorcycle that is going to be laid down at some point in its life — and most M1000RRs are, on purpose, on a circuit — it is the one that gets there first on that side.

The One Where the Weave Reads
Of the three engine covers, only this one has enough surface for a twill pattern to register as a pattern rather than as texture. On the other two the diagonal is a surface quality; here it is a visible feature from a couple of metres away.
That makes it the cover worth spending on if only one is going to be carbon, and the one where a lacquer choice actually changes how the side of the motorcycle looks.
Fitment and Compatibility
BMW M1000RR, model years 2023 through 2026, on the original cover fixings. Shared with the S1000RR of the same period. Check clearance against any slider or protection bracket on the left.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. It does not open or alter the engine case, but confirm the position for your own registration before road use.
What a Cover Survives
In a garage tip-over this cover takes the mark that would otherwise land on the case, and that is worth the price on its own. In a slide at speed it will be destroyed, and so will everything else of this shape.
Riders taking an M to a circuit should fit proper case protection as well and treat this as the part that makes the motorcycle look finished. Raw is the sensible finish on a machine that sees sessions; clear coat on one that sees breakfast runs.
