BST's STAR TEK wheels are built around the latest iteration of CRBNX carbon fibre technology — a proprietary prepreg layup process that optimises fibre orientation for the specific load paths a motorcycle wheel experiences. The result is a shell that is exceptionally stiff in the right directions and free from excess material everywhere else. The hub and spoke interface uses a 6082 T6 aluminium centre, chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio and its proven durability in racing environments.

The rear wheel is offset to suit the Ducati Panigale single-sided swingarm precisely, eliminating the compromises that come with adapters or shims. Static load rating for the rear stands at 280 kg (617.2 lbs), with a radial impact load of 420 kg (925.9 lbs), bending fatigue load of 452 Nm, and torsion fatigue load of 923 Nm — figures that reflect track-level engineering rather than road-minimum compliance.

Safety and Testing

BST's certification process goes considerably further than the legal minimum. Each wheel is subjected to 1,000,000 bending and torsion fatigue cycles, 6,000 km of radial load testing, and a radial impact test that verifies residual air pressure is retained after impact — critical for maintaining rider control. Load testing is conducted to TÜV 287 StVZO and JASO T203-85 standards.
