Engineering & Build Quality

BST constructs each STAR TEK wheel as a single monocoque unit in high-strength Prepreg carbon. Unlike hybrid designs that bond separate carbon and alloy sections, the monocoque shell eliminates joint stress concentrations and keeps the structure as light and stiff as the material allows. CRBNX technology — BST's proprietary carbon layup programme — optimises fibre orientation specifically for the torsional and radial loads a rear wheel encounters under hard acceleration, braking and lean. The aluminium spider is machined to Ultra-High-Speed tolerances, ensuring perfect rotational balance straight out of the box.

Safety & Testing

BST subjects every STAR TEK wheel to a testing regime that goes well beyond road-legal minima. Each unit passes 1,000,000 cycles of combined bending and torsion tests, 6,000 km of radial load endurance, and a radial impact test with retained air pressure validation. A 100% visual inspection is followed by a CT scan of each individual wheel — meaning no internal voids, delaminations or anomalies can reach the customer. The result is a wheel that carries TÜV approval and meets JASO standards with confidence.
