DescriptionThe whole story▼
When lap times matter and every gram of rotating mass is your enemy, the BST Mamba 7 TEK carbon front wheel gives the Ducati Panigale 1199, 1199 S and 1199 R a measurable edge. At just 2.75 kg, it slashes unsprung and rotational inertia simultaneously, sharpening turn-in response and delivering the kind of precise, confidence-inspiring steering feel that separates fast riders from the fastest. Built to DOT and JWL standards, it is equally at home on a closed circuit or a demanding mountain road.
Key Features
- Ultralight at 2.75 kg (6.06 lbs) — dramatically reduced rotating mass for faster direction changes and improved corner-entry feel
- Pre-preg carbon fibre rim paired with a CNC-machined 6082 T6 aluminium hub for an optimised balance of stiffness and impact resistance
- DOT and JWL certified — fully approved for both road and track use without compromise
- Engineered to withstand demanding load ratings: 388 kg radial load, 155 kg static load, 577 Nm cornering load and 543.9 Nm torsional load
- Includes an ultra-high-speed 90° aluminium valve with cap — ready for race-day tyre changes
- Two-year manufacturer warranty for lasting peace of mind
Track-Bred Construction
BST's Mamba 7 TEK is not a road wheel adapted for circuit use — it is a race-developed design validated on the world's most demanding tracks before being made available to road riders. The pre-preg carbon fibre manufacturing process ensures uniform fibre orientation and minimal void content, producing a rim that is stiffer and more consistent than wet-laid alternatives. The hub is machined from 6082 T6 aluminium alloy, a grade chosen for its high strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to fatigue under repeated braking and cornering loads.
Road & Circuit Performance
Reducing rotating mass at the front axle has a compounding benefit: less gyroscopic resistance means the Panigale responds to rider input more immediately, particularly when transitioning between corners. Braking performance is also enhanced — a lighter wheel decelerates more readily, allowing the tyre contact patch to work more effectively. Whether you are chasing a personal best at a trackday or pushing hard on a technical road, the Mamba 7 TEK delivers a tangible improvement over the standard cast wheel.
